I am trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and maintain a regular mindfulness meditation practice. Mindfulness principles are woven into my clinical work to support self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. I integrate both intrapersonal (internal) and interpersonal (systemic) interventions to support meaningful and sustainable change.
Moreover, I am a Registered Clinicial Counsellor – Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS). I provide training to the next generations of counsellors in providing mental health services to children and youth.
My Philosophy of Therapy
I believe that people of all ages are doing the best they can with the knowledge, experiences, and circumstances available to them. When individuals find themselves feeling lost —whether due to present challenges or unresolved past experiences—counselling can offer valuable supports and insights to help clients move forward in their lives.
I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where individuals and families can explore their concerns, experiment with new ways of relating, and move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. I view people as inherently relational beings, shaped by both past and present experiences. As such, therapy involves understanding and reshaping both internal experiences and interpersonal patterns to foster meaningful change in one’s current life.
Ethical Practice and Confidentiality
I adhere to the Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice set out by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT). I also follow my agency’s policies, ethical guidelines, and informed consent procedures, including the limits of confidentiality.
Take the First Step of Your Healing
If you are feeling stuck – whether due to present challenges or unresolved past experiences – counselling can help.
